Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist the golf course superintendent and assistants with daily planning and scheduling.
• Learn to manage and install Toro irrigation (SitePro & LTC Plus Satellites). Looking to upgrade to Toro LYNX and LTC Pro / VP later this year.
• Assist with pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Learn how to properly calibrate fertilizer spreaders and sprayers.
• Learn how to establish a sound fertilizer and pesticide program.
• Monitor golf course playing conditions including greens moisture management.
• Assist with golf course set-up, projects, and all other facets of the golf course operation.

Requirements:
Positive attitude, eager to learn, and dedicated to golf industry.
Willing to work as a team in an organized, high paced environment.
Ability to listen and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
Ability to multi-task while closely monitoring daily operations.
Ability to prioritize and adjust to ever-changing conditions.
Minimum 6-month commitment but would prefer 1-year or more.

Compensation:
Currently enrolled or graduated from Turfgrass or related program.
1-year experience preferred but not required.
