Full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training
Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey is looking for a Full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent-in-Training.

Position Overview:
As an AIT you will have the opportunity to interact with the assistants and superintendent on a daily basis. During these interactions you will be encouraged to ask any questions and will become exposed to our decision making process. We look to try to bring out the strengths and improve on any weaknesses in our employees while preparing them for a successful future in the turf industry. We have just completed a 5 year in house greens resurfacing project. AIT’s will be directly involved in the management practices of these newly established greens. A tee complex renovation is in our plans for the fall of this season, prepping/seeding our 2 acres of nursery space will begin this spring.

Involved in all primary aspects of course management as part of the management team:
• Fertilizer/pesticide calibration, application and record keeping
• Integrated Pest Management strategies.
• Turfgrass cultural practices (mowing, grooming, verticutting, topdressing, rolling, aerifying).
• Water management responsibilities (through use of moisture meters).
• Projects (tee complex renovation, bunker repairs, drainage, irrigation, etc).

Requirements:
We are looking for a recent graduate of an accredited Turfgrass program.
1-2 seasons working on a golf course.

Compensation:
$14 per hour.
A town house 5 min. off property will be provided.
Uniforms.
Golfing privileges.
NJ pesticide applicators license.
