Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Country Club in Rochester, New York is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The 1st Assistant will work closely with the Superintendent planning, supervising, scheduling, leading grounds crew and assist with a variety of monthly reports. Snow removal duties during winter hours shared with other crew members.

Requirements:
Must be self- motivated and can work without direct supervision.
Must posses a working knowledge of golf course maintenance principles, practices and methods such as; overseeing projects, knowledge of laws and regulations affecting the management of golf course operations.
Maintains a flexible schedule with afternoon and/ or evening hours.
Must posses or be able to obtain a NYS pesticide licenses (within 3 months of state date).
Must posses a valid driver’s license.
Degree or Certificate in Turfgrass management.
1-2 years experience as a 1st Assistant or 2-3 years experience as a 2nd Assistant.

Compensation:
$42,000 per year.
Health, dental & vision (70% covered); 2 weeks PTO; 401K (eligible after 1 year); dues for local chapter memberships; applicators license & renewal; meals; uniforms; and golf privileges.
