2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Huntington, New York is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:
The Assistant will be involved in all facets of managing the property. This is a “hands on” position that will test the individual daily on their decision making and ability. The Assistant will be set up for success and have a great deal of support.

Requirements:
The Assistant will be involved everywhere with an emphasis on chemical and fertilizer applications during the growing season.
Candidate must exhibit strong work ethic, common sense and attention to detail.
Graduate of turf program from an accredited university.
The individual must have previous golf course experience preferably managing cool season grasses in the Northeast.
The Assistant must have or be able to obtain a NYS Pesticide Applicator ID within 90 days.
Construction experience is a plus.
Individual should have understanding of the competitive nature of the golf industry in the Metropolitan area and the dedication required to get the job finished.
Positive attitude and willingness to work and learn from others.

Compensation:
$40,000 – $50,000 per year.
Negotiable and room to grow.
Housing, health insurance, meals, uniforms, golf, continuing education expenses and dues.
401K after one year of employment.
Bonus.
