Full-time Head Men’s Golf Coach/Athletic Academic Coordinator
Public university in Indiana, Pennsylvania is looking for a Full-time Head Men’s Golf Coach/Athletic Academic Coordinator.

Position Overview:
Assist in all aspects of the Golf program at the Division II level and to create a quality student-athlete experience in academics, athletics, and community service, and to provide academic support to the athletic department.

Head Golf Coach:
• Ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Formulate team policies and procedures.
• Monitor and encourage academic progress and success of student athletes to ensure continuing eligibility to participate in NCAA competition and to graduate.
• Exercise fiscal responsibility on all budgetary matters and expense items.
• Coordinate game preparation (e.g. player conditioning, training, skill building, game strategies, and on-course coaching).
• Direct player recruitment to identify qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success.
• Coordinate and participate in fund-raising activities in support of the athletic program.
• Schedule contests and team practice sessions.
• Facilitate and operate camps and clinics.
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Academic Coordinator:
• Organize and provide oversight of the student-athlete study hall program
• In conjunction with the Faculty Athletics Representative, coordinate mid-semester online progress reports
• In conjunction with the Faculty Athletics Representative, assist with the handling of any missed class time issues involving student-athletes
• Assist with the completion of IUP, Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) mandated reports (i.e., PSAC Scholar-Athlete, NCAA Graduation Rates).

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree.
Candidates must have the communication skills and cross-cultural abilities to maximize their effectiveness with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members.
Candidates must communicate effectively and perform well in the interview(s).
Three years collegiate coaching experience.
Proven collegiate recruiting experience, preferred.
Relevant golf teaching experience, preferred.
