Full-time Head Golf Professional
Golf Course in Williamsburg, Virginia is looking for a Full-time Head Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The Head Golf Professional will work closely with the General Manager and the regional operations team to develop and implement all golf related activities/programs; including merchandising, club tournaments, golf leagues & outings, lesson programs, and golf staff management.

Position Responsibilities:
• Plans, promotes and directs all golf activities including management responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Assists the General Manager in preparing and monitoring the annual golf operations budget.
• Actively work to grow outing rounds/revenue at the facility through outside sales and retention.
• Participates in outside activities that are judged appropriate by the General Manager to enhance the presence of the property in the local community.
• Orders, manages, inventories and displays all merchandise in the golf shop.
• Organizes and executes golf tournaments, members events, and league programs.
• Develops player development programs, clinics and lessons to all player segments.
• Interprets and imposes club policies, rules and regulations.
• Hires, trains, and supervises golf shop staff and outside services staff.
• Conducts staff meetings with pro shop staff and outside services staff to ensure facility goals, objectives and standards are being met.
• Directs and promotes golf operation safety program.
• Supervises maintenance of golf cart fleet.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
The position requires a friendly and outgoing personality with the ability to professionally interact with members, guests, and outing coordinators.
The ability to communicate effectively with all of the club’s constituents (guests, members, staff, owners and management) is a required skill.
Must be a PGA member in good standing.
Must have a minimum of 1-2 years as a Head Golf Professional or 2-3 years as a 1st Assistant Professional.
Demonstrated ability to run a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented golf operation.
Must have knowledge of budgeting and expense management.
Experience in developing and conducting golf clinics and lesson for members, women and juniors.
Experience in building player development programs and executing golf outings/events.
Must have the ability to hire and develop a motivated golf staff.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be highly organized, efficient and detail oriented.
Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship skills.
Must have strong computer skills – Word, Excel, POS and Tee Sheet Management.
Knowledge of the local market is preferred.
A four-year college degree preferred, but not required.

Compensation:
$60,000 – $70,000 per hour.
