Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Harrisonburg, Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Assist the Head Golf Professional with the management of daily golf operations including selling and promoting membership sales, managing and tracking play, protecting and controlling assets, supervision of the golf staff, assist with all merchandising functions, managing tournaments and leagues, teaching lessons and clinics, and most importantly providing first class customer service to ensure an exceptional golfing experience.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Will report directly to the Head Golf Professional.
• Will assume role of the Head Golf Professional in absence of the Head Golf Professional.
• Complete the requirements of the PGA of America to obtain membership (if not a member already) and maintain an active classification in the PGA of America.
• Execute, supervise and manage the Golf Operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional, and in accordance with Club policies.
• Provide superior customer service, professional advice and assistance to all members and guests.
• Provide golf instruction and clinics that are consistent with the PGA of America’s Teaching Manual, and under the direction of the Head Golf Professional.
• Supervise, train, and lead by example all personnel as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
• Assist in purchasing, receipt, display, inventory, control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image at all times.
• Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
• Manage the tournament pairing program and event management.
• Ensure member events are posted on each golf cart and at all times kept current.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operation.
• Play Golf with all member segments as often as time permits.
• Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by the Head Golf Professional in a professional and timely manner.

Requirements:
1 or more years as an Assistant Golf Professional.
PGA Member (not required).
Bachelor’s Degree (not required).

Compensation:
$30,000.00 – $32,000.00 per year.
