Golf Course Player Assistant
Country club in West Palm Beach, Florida is looking for a Golf Course Player Assistant.

Position Overview:
Responsible for monitoring and correcting the pace of play when necessary on assigned golf course. Greets all players by name. Provides accurate information regarding golf course conditions, policies and procedures for play. Works closely with Starters to assure prompt pace of play. Reports incidents or problems to Director of Golf and/or Head Golf Professional. Strives to create magical moments that players will remember.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Carries out the “Ibis Experience” each and every day.
• Strives to maintain smooth play by enforcing the four hour pace of play for a round of golf.
• Corrects any pace of play issues by assisting players with raking traps, filling divots, repairing ball marks, tending flags.
• Provides tips to players to assist the group back into position with a positive non-threatening approach.
• Recognizes players that are behind or ahead of pace of play and communicates information to the Ambassadors/Starters.
• Enforces all club rules and regulations, including dress code.
• Provides answers about the rules of golf.
• Helps with tournaments set up and event pace of play.
• Initiates contest holes on the course and rewards players with Ibis balls for good shots, fixing extra ball marks, filling divots, etc.
• Familiarizes oneself with player’s upcoming birthdays and anniversaries and provides well wishes for special day.

Other Functions:
• Maintains contact with Cart Barn for retrieval of extra carts.
• Returns radio to the Cart Barn at the end of shift. Places radio on charger.
• Cleans and connects carts to battery charger at the end of each shift.

Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Valid driver’s license.
Strong knowledge of the game of golf.
Attend Etiquette Course.
Ability to keep detailed records regarding start times and pace of play.
Excellent people skills.
Must be able to work effectively in stressful situations.
Integrity beyond reproach.
Punctuality and flexibility.
