Assistant Golf Professional
Country Club in Lakewood, Colorado is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
The Assistant Golf Professional/Corporate & Charity Outing Director has the responsibility for the overall management of all Monday Corporate & Charity Outings and Ladies Golf Programs and Leagues.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Golf Operations Management.
• Oversee the reservation system, starting, monitoring, and pace of play.
• Administer pace of play requirements of 4 hours or less.
• Track and verify all players and guests, green fees, golf cars, club care, lockers, handicap fees, and other charges necessary, and facilitate accurate accounting and recordkeeping.
• Oversee, manage and run all Monday Corporate & Charity outings.
• Administer Ladies Golf Programs and Leagues.
• Oversee the operations of a well-managed practice facility.
• Provide club fitting services.
• Ensure the proper storage, safety, and cleaning of golf equipment.
• Play golf with a variety of members and/or guests as time permits.
• Educate and oversee golf decisions based off the Rules of Golf.
• Assist Head Golf professional with the administration of the golf handicap program Retail Management.
• Help maintain a profitable golf merchandising operation.
• Assist in the development of necessary systems utilizing POS to safeguard inventories and cash.
• Maintain professional and orderly appearance in and around the golf shop.
• Conduct accurate and timely inventory counts Player Development.
• Provide Private Instruction to membership.
• Assist with Junior Golf and PGA Junior League.
• Utilize PGA of America player development tools, resources, and materials.
• Focus on programs for women, families, and juniors Other Facility/Departmental Responsibilities.
• Work closely with all department heads to achieve the goals and objectives of the facility.
• Maintain a close working relationship with the Golf Course Superintendent for Monday Corporate and Charity Outings.
• Coordinate plans with the Food and Beverage Manager and Events Coordinator for food and beverage needs for all Monday Corporate & Charity Outings Knowledge, Skills and Traits.
• Fundamental supervisory practices and principles.
• Act as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employees.
• Maintain and promote a positive professional image within the community.
• Maintain a credible golf game and remain current on teaching innovations.

Requirements:
PGA Class A Member or Apprentice Level 3 in good standing.
Experience in all aspects of upscale private club golf operations.
Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to interact with the membership and generate participation from all member segments.
Strong computer skill and ability to utilize golf related applications.
College degree preferred.
Proficient in Tournament Expert Software and knowledgeable with POS systems preferably ForeTees.
Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
Self-motivated with desire to promote and market.
Service and customer focused attitude.
Experienced computer user including: Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Excel.
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operations.
Maintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classification.
Actively pursue PGA membership (if a PGA Apprentice) in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) program.

Compensation:
$36,000.00 per year.
