1st Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Owings Mills, Maryland is looking for a 1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Specific Responsibilities:
• Complete the requirements of PGA membership and/or maintain an active classification in The PGA of America.
• Supervise and manage the total golf operations in a professional and efficient manner in the absence of the Head Golf Professional.
• Provide excellent customer services, professional advice and assistance to all members and their guests.
• Assist in managing the total operation of the practice facility.
• Provide golf instruction and clinics at a high level of knowledge and enthusiasm.
• Supervise, schedule and train golf personnel as directed by the Head Golf Professional.
• Assist in the purchasing, receiving, displaying, inventory control, promotion and sales of merchandise.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner and maintain a professional image while and also when off the premises.
• Be informed on, and promote all club activities and services.
• Stay up to date on latest club technology, fitting equipment and teaching methods/technologies.
• Lead role in Women’s golf, weekly events and tournaments.
• Assist in planning and budgeting for the golf operations.
• Assist in managing tournaments and outings.
• Play golf with all different segments of members, to include Men, Women, Seniors & Juniors.
• Represent the club in the community and Sectional/National tournaments to enhance the Golf Staff’s image.
• Seek and attend continuing educational opportunities in a variety of industry topics.
• Maintain extensive contact with supervisors and club management to ensure teamwork and seamless integration of all operations throughout the club.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in the golf business and a goal of becoming a head golf professional.
This individual should be an excellent player, proficient instructor and have extensive experience in running and conducting golf tournaments.
Knowledge of tournament software and POS systems.

Compensation:
$700.00 – $750.00 per week.
