Full-time Golf Shop Attendant
Recreation center in Jacksonville Beach, Florida is looking for a Full-time Golf Shop Attendant.

Position Overview:
Performs intermediate clerical work involving the collection of fees and general maintenance and operation of golf shop; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Golf Course Facility Manager. This is light work requiring the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects, and some medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires stooping, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.

Duties:
• Assisting golfers; collecting and accounting for fees and charges; preparing and maintaining records and files.
• Collects greens fees and cart fees, maintains records and files;
• Records each player on sign-up sheet, totals and verifies fees collected;
• Receives, receipts and accounts for fees received;
• Prepares scoring sheets, creates signs and prepares computer records, assists with handicapping;
• Prepares and cleans golf carts, picks up range balls, checks course periodically;
• Assists with developing working schedules and arranging tournaments;
• Sells balls, tees, gloves and other accessories;
• Cleans pro?shop, side rooms and rest rooms; performs general custodial work when assigned;
• Opens and closes shop;
• Performs related tasks as required.

Requirements:
General knowledge of the operation of a golf shop; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to preform record keeping and mathematical calculations; ability to get along well with others; ability to work unusual hours during the golfing season.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in general clerical work.
Possession of an appropriate driver’s license valid in the State of Florida.

Compensation:
$13.27 – $16.40 per hour.
