Part-time Assistant Golf Professional
Golf Club in Coon Rapids, Minnesota is looking for a Part-time Assistant Golf Professional.

Position Overview:
Under the direction of the Golf Pro/Manager, the Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the golf course. The position will average 40 hours per week during the golf season and 25 hours per week during the off-season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists with collecting, depositing, and monitoring of daily fees.
• Assists with scheduling and implementing leagues, tournaments, and events using the golf facility.
• Assists with supervising and training temporary seasonal Pro Shop Workers and Golf Facility – Outside Service Workers.
• Assists in management and marketing of golf simulator operations.
• Assists with growth of the game and junior golf programs.
• Assists with the cleanliness of clubhouse, clubhouse grounds, and golf course.
• Changes out water coolers, when required.
• Follows oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s work orders and equipment operation manuals.
• Provides effective and respectful communication and interactions with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and citizen customers.
• Maintains positive professional working relationships with all staff levels, other jurisdictions and outside agencies, and the general public.
• Regular and reliable attendance during scheduled work hours and outside regular hours as necessary.
• Performs essential position duties and responsibilities under the working conditions described herein.
• Performs other related functions as apparent or delegated.

Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of the game of golf.
Ability to teach and play the game of golf.
Ability to work cooperatively with city personnel, external vendors, and the public.
Ability to perform duties with tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
Ability to be detail oriented and follow through with tasks.
Ability to maintain a team and service oriented approach to work.
Must have the ability to accept criticism or discipline.
Must strive to promote a cooperative atmosphere in the department and exhibit a positive attitude.
Thorough understanding of the game of golf.
Registration and good-standing in the PGA of America.
Post-secondary education with emphasis in business or recreation preferred.
5 years of golf operations experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience with scheduling tee times, tournaments, and handicap software and project creation preferred.
Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Compensation:
$17.74 per hour.
